Personal Training is made worth while by the clients getting results and achieving goals. The sense of achievement is what keeps people going and aspiring to achieve more. Different people have different goals whether it’s to lose weight, gain weight, improve stamina and endurance or to run a half marathon. Fitness testing is one way to gage improvement, and a very important one as far as training is concerned.
Below is a chart showing one of our Manchester Personal Training clients fitness test results. The dark Blue line represents John’s first test. The yellow and pink lines highlight the improvement John has made on his second and third tests, giving great results. All of our Personal Training clients receive their results in a chart to show how they are doing.
The Motiv8 Personal Training Fitness Test, is devised to test all major parts of the body. The upper body (arms, chest and shoulders), lower body ( legs, hips), the mid body ( abdominals), core stability (the inner core muscles used for balance, transverse abs, lower back, pelvic floor and diaphragm) and the bodies cardio vascular ability ( the heart and lungs).
As well as gaining a set of results to beat on your next test, it also gives the trainer a needs analysis to work out the best exercise program to improve your fitness. Your weak and strong points will have been highlighted to the trainer, and it is now time to go to work on improving your fitness and reaching your goals.

The Motiv8 Fitness test is so far a huge success, with all 47 clients that have taken the test improving, many of these clients have also gone on to improve a second and third time with outstanding commitment. The fitness test is advised as the best way to start your training, however it is optional and it is at the client’s discretion.
